SNAFU SNAPS

 

You and Your Club are invited to our 34th annual S.N.A.F.U. Rugby Tournament that is open to both Men and Women's Teams.

Come and join us for a fun weekend in the Sun or under the Huge Tent and enjoy music from our live D.J. We have a full concession stand for souvenir's and snacks or satisfy your hunger with burgers and brats. Cool off by visiting  the Beer Garden and take in the numerous rugby games going on and enjoy the company of fellow Ruggers.

We offer two full days of rugby competition that includes a round robin style format, playoffs and finals. You are treated to free breakfast's, a Saturday night out on the town and a Sunday evening meal. For the post tournament events, put a team together for the annual "Boat Race's" that is as much fun to watch as it is to compete in and then Party Hard for the Wind-Up social and see for yourself if the rumors are true!

The Tournament is held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on five wonderful pitches at Maple Grove Rugby Park, 190 Frobisher Road located at the South end of the City. The entrance is off  the corner of St. Mary's Road and the Perimeter Hwy. Only minutes away from Major Hotels, St. Vital Mall,  RV Parks, Campgrounds and Hospital.

Gauranteed 3 games and free pancake and sausage breakfast Sat & Sun. , Night on the town at one of Winnipeg's Hottest Night Club's, Dinner and Sunday evening Social and commemorative SNAFU Mugs.

Compete against The Winnipeg Saracens and other local and rural Manitoba Rugby Union Clubs.

 Manitoba Men's Clubs - U of M Wombats, Brandon Barbarians, Dauphin Mavericks,  Portage Wolves, Shilo Stags, Sturgeon Creek Rowdies, Winnipeg Wanderers,  Winnipeg Wasps and defending SNAFU Champions the Winnipeg Assassins.

Manitoba Women's Clubs - Winnipeg Assassins, Sturgeon Creek Rowdies, Winnipeg Wanderers,  U of M Wombats and the Wasp Women's Athletic Association.

Meet our perennial guests from Minnesota, the St. Paul's Pigs and defending Women's Champions the Twin City Amazons . Also the Minneapolis Menagerie have made their return to Snafu in '03.

There have been teams from all over the North America. Last years guests from the U.S.A., Omaha GOATS from Nebraska and the Lakehead Exiles from Thunder Bay Ontario.

Past appearances include teams from Alberta, the Edmonton Pirates and the Calgary Women Saracens. From Saskatchewan the Regina Condors and Traveling Holsteins. Also another American team, the Minnesota Carps.

We have hosted and continue to welcome members of the Blind Pigs from Savannah, Georgia and members of the Barbarians from Denver.

International Teams have also graced SNAFU with their presence. Wanganui Marists from New Zealand and The Caribs from Trinidad and Tobago, Guys Hospital School from England and the Venezuela Women's touring team.

Come and be a part of SNAFU's great 33 year history and enjoy the company of other Ruggers that share our Love for this Game.
